Vampire Hackathon is like a mini Startup Weekend compressed into a single night. With an open bar. And weird (not so weird) costumes. Here's the crew at the Cambridge Innovation Center near Kendall Sq/MIT. I'm behind a tall guy and can't be seen. It's what I get for being 5'3" =(
Upon arrival, we hadn't a clue what to build. We brainstormed dilly-dallied for hours. Ideas ranged from interesting to ridiculous (e.g risk played on google maps, dating site for cougars). Side note: Less machismo at Hackathons please. ActBlue encourages women in tech and even sponsored the Ruby Workshop for Women and their Friends. This was run by our very own, RailsBridge Organizer, Braulio Carreno.
How about sharing vegetable gardens?
Oh, and we won a Free Vacation to Buenos Aires. Here's a screenshot of Parcel!
